HI-COM is proud to have provided Chinese and English simultaneous interpreting for the Future Cities: Sustainability and lnclusion panel discussion organized by British Council. The event took place on October 29th at Kinetic Space Shanghai Kerry Centre in Shanghai.
HI-COM managed the whole project and provided expert interpreting from English to Chinese and vice versa. The project included our simultaneous interpreters and installation and dismantling of interpreting booths.
About Future Cities: Sustainability and Inclusion Panel Discussion
The panel hosted in Shanghai and is being held in the lead up to International World Cities Day (October 31st).
In this panel discussion, leading Chinese and British experts discussed the latest trends in China and the UK in relation to how cities are adopting more sustainable and inclusive approaches and how arts and culture are featured as part of the growth and development of cities. Panelists on Oct 29th included architects, academics, and consultants on cultural policy. UK panelists shared their perspectives on how cities in the UK are using arts and culture to build inclusive and people-focused cities. The session also took a closer look at how the pandemic has influenced some of the changes we are seeing in Cities in China and in the UK.
