Interpreting conveys spoken communication between languages during a live interaction. Translation handles written content. HI-COM can support both when your project includes an event as well as documents or presentation materials.
Should I choose simultaneous or consecutive interpreting?
Simultaneous interpreting follows the speaker in real time and suits conferences, panels and events where the programme must keep moving. Consecutive interpreting is delivered in pauses and suits meetings, interviews and negotiations. Share your agenda so the team can recommend a format.

Yes. HI-COM can coordinate interpreting equipment, booth installation, headsets, receivers, transmitters and on-site technical support. The setup depends on the venue, number of rooms, language channels and audience size. Equipment and support are agreed as part of your project scope.
Does every simultaneous interpreting event require a booth?
The setup depends on the room and event format. Larger conferences commonly use booths, while a suitable portable wireless system can serve some smaller groups. Our published Shanghai finance case shows a transmitter and 20 receivers used for a single-room event.
Can you support remote or hybrid events?
Yes. We help plan professional interpreting for online and hybrid events. The platform, interpreter audio feed, audience language channels and technical checks need to be agreed in advance.
How much do interpreting services in China cost?
A quote depends on the language pair, specialist subject, event duration, interpreter team, location, equipment, room count and travel needs. Send your brief for a tailored scope and quote; a single headline rate would not describe all these formats accurately.
How far ahead should I book, and what should I send?
Contact us as soon as your dates are known, particularly for specialist languages, multi-day conferences or multiple rooms. Send your date, city, language pairs, agenda, audience size and equipment needs. For an urgent request, the team can check availability.
When should I use a human interpreter rather than AI?
Sensitive negotiations, technical discussions, live panels and nuanced exchanges benefit from professional human interpreting. Automated tools can be assessed for lower-risk uses or supplementary access. Share your objectives and audio conditions so the team can advise on an appropriate approach.
