Simultaneous Interpreting Mission for Sustainability and ESG Summit

This year’s Sustainability and ESG Summit was an all-day event with the theme “New Horizons: The Era of ESG” organized by British Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together government representatives, business leaders from China and the UK to discuss the latest trends and best practices in Sustainability and ESG in China and around the world.

The morning session was focus on ESG macro trends then the afternoon session has shared with attendees the industry trends.

HI-COM was selected as the official simultaneous interpreting (SI) service provider for this event. By enabling real-time translation between English and Chinese, both speakers and attendees can experience bilingual seminars without language barriers.

Currently, 95% of the world’s high-end international conferences use simultaneous interpreting.

About the project:

For the Summit, HI-COM selected two simultaneous interpreters from its network of professional interpreters with expertise in the English-Chinese language pair in this field. HI-COM is honored to participate in this summit as a sponsor.

Simultaneous interpreting, referred to as “simultaneous interpreting”, also known as “simultaneous translation” and “simultaneous interpreting”, refers to a translation method in which the interpreter continuously interprets the content to the audience without interrupting the speaker’s speech. Simultaneous interpreters provide instant translation through special equipment, which is suitable for large-scale seminars and international conferences. Such events usually need two to three interpreters in rotation, located in the Interpreter’s booth.
