It was founded in 1986 with headquarters in New York. Omnicom’s brand network and specialty businesses provide services in four different areas: advertising, customer relationship management, public relations, and specialty services.

Our Goal:

PHD Media hired HI-COM to translate its brand book from English to Chinese.

Project follow-up:

The brand book is an official corporate document that explains the brand’s identity and standards. It is used by designers, partners and copywriters for a variety of design and copywriting work. A brand book characterizes a company and is very often influenced by advertising or PR.

In order to ensure a high standard was achieved, the translation of this project had to be done by an experienced translator with extensive knowledge of the industry. HI-COM’s expert marketing translators were able to recreate the brand book in Chinese as well as meet the brand’s linguistic specifications. At HI-COM, our teams always remain available after delivering a project in case there are any modification requests or questions.

Our main priority is to meet the needs of our clients.

Our challenges:

When translating a manual of this kind, it is important to accurately understand the message that the brand wishes to communicate. It is also necessary to understand the content of the source document in order to effectively translate it.  At HI-COM, we only employ expert translators with relevant experience to ensure the quality of the translation is high.

Technical translations can sometimes use specific and niche terminology, therefore it is necessary to be familiar with relelvant terms. Thanks to our team of professionals who specialize in a variety of fields, as well as our translation memory tool, we were able to overcome this challenge and translate the manual efficiently to meet our client’s request.
