What is academic translation?

Academic translation is considered by most in the industry as translation which involves the conversion of documents and web content from one language to another. Academic translation is performed by experts with linguistic expertise and a comprehensive knowledge of the specific academic area concerned and of the unique terminology used.

When would you require academic translation services?

If you or your company is involved in the education and learning sectors, it is of course certain or highly likely that you will require academic translation services. However, even if you are not involved in education or learning in any way, it is also very likely that you will require the services of an academic translator at some stage on your life, as you will see from some of the examples below:

  • Web sites for schools and universities
  • Brochures
  • Prospectuses
  • Course information
  • Exchange programs

  • Press releases
